In WPRentals you can let users choose whether they are an owner or just a renter during signup. If the “Separate users on registration” setting is ON, a new user picks “I want to book and rent” (becomes an owner) or “I only want to book” (becomes a renter) at registration.
Renters don’t get listing submission access while owners do. This makes managing user types clear and organized on your site.
Restrict Listing Submissions to Specific Users
If you don’t want every user to publish properties, WpRentals lets you limit listing creation to certain usernames. You can enter a list of approved owners in settings so only they see the “Submit Listing” option and dashboards for owners.
Other users will still log in and book, but won’t have submit rights. This gives you control in one place without plugins.
Manage Registration Fields, Roles & Social Login
WpRentals lets you control registration details and roles too. You choose if users type their own password or get one via email. You can include mobile number fields too, but they’re optional. Social login users are assigned default roles automatically. The default WordPress user role should be set to Subscriber so that WpRentals can apply owner/renter logic correctly.
